Favorites still holding strong...

So in the last two weeks, Katie, Anthony, and Tim have all gone home. I really liked Katie and Anthony in the beginning (all the way back to the audition rounds), but as the weeks went on, their performances just got worse and worse. Hopefully they will get their original spunk back and be able to make singing careers for themselves.

This week we also had to endure the "Idol gives back" show. Nothing like a bunch of rich celebrities asking poor Americans to donate money. One of those artists alone could give more than all of the money they receive from the tele-thone! I don't mind giving to a worthy cause, I just hate rich people asking me for money. Why don't they give something themselves? Ugh! I am stepping off of my soapbox now!

Big Mike, Crystal, and Lee are definitely my favorites for this season and I really hope those three make it to the end. However, of the three, I could really only see myself buying the Lee's music because his music style is the one closest to my music preference.

As the season begins to come to a close, I can't help thinking about next season without Simon. I just don't think the show will make it! I wonder what his new show will be like?

Well, this class will end before this season of American Idol, but I still hope to be able to finish my blog, so keep following if you like!
Thanks,
Sarah

  1. I don't think the show has a chance without Simon. Even though I wasn't a big Paula Abdul fan, I think the show is suffering without her. It may be that "American Idol" has run its course. Every thing must come to an end at some point in time. I've been watching Randy's show "America's Best Dance Crew" and it has already lost a good deal of its flavor as well. I like both shows but they may me on their way out soon. Let's hope not. Take Care.

  2. I agree with Udon. I do not think the show will last too much longer without Simon. I have never really gotten into reality shows, and I have not regularly watch American Idol for the past couple of years. I have only stopped and watched when our girls were watching, but I have kept up with the results from listening to my coworkers.

  3. Gosh, wasn't it a close call last week with Big Mike? I'm so glad the judges used the save on him, because he is very inspirational in his music.

Man I tell you, "Idol gives back" always makes me cry. When I look at those poor, homeless, sick and dying people, I can't help but express my compassion for them. It really makes me realize just how blessed my family and I are. Even though we complain from time to time, things can ALWAYS be worse!

I don't know what Idol will be like next season without Simon either. I have enjoyed Ellen's humor on the panel, but I just don't know who will replace Simon's bluntness.
